Happy Halloween 2021

This is an arrangement I made for Millbrae Japanese Cultural Festival earlier this month.
It was nice to see many of Sogetsu friends for the first time in two years and talk about each other’s creation.  We have learned to be creative and resourceful without splurging during the pandemic.

Materials:  Jarrahdale Squash, Carnation*, Japanese Anemone, Love-Lies-Bleeding*, Astilbe*, Eulalia Grass, Cape Rush, Vine Lilac

Carving this 25 lbs. hard pumpkin took a little elbow grease.
