Perennials

Most perennials die to the ground during winter, but their roots remain alive and send up new growth in spring. They spread, forming larger clumps every year. Most perennials bloom for a couple of weeks at a specific time of the year but their foliage remains until frost. This large pink peony called Sarah Bernhardt brightens up the backyard in early summer.
