Ash

Scientific name: Fraxinus
Cultivar: not known

This 40′ tree must have been planted when the house was built in 1950’s.  It used to be magnificent with yellow fall color (above), but the tree is stressed out and its leaves turn brown due to a lack of water in recent years.  Ash is hardwood and is used for making baseball bats.
