Azalea with Bamboo Basket from Beppu

While pink or white shades are more common for azaleas, the variety called Arneson Gem has an orange hue and blooms much larger, resembling rhododendrons. Unlike regular evergreen azaleas, Arneson Gem is deciduous, with leaves turning a bright gold hue in the fall. This intricate bamboo basket from my aunt in Beppu complements this unique azalea beautifully.
