Zinnia

I’ve been fascinated with zinnias ever since watching how Erin Benzakein hybridizes this classic cut flower. I bought a packet of seeds from Floret Farm and grew the pastel-hued ‘Precious Metals.’ While not every stem developed the fully double petals I imagined, it was surprising to see how long the plant blooms—both in the garden and as a cut flower.
