Cool Summer

Style: freestyle
Materials: Delphiniums, Tweedia Caerulea, Gentian, Nigella, Weigelia branches, Lavender (Meerlo)  leaves

This is my first time to exhibit at Filoli Flower Show.  Pam Schenk of Peninsula Rose Society kindly introduced me to the co-chairperson, Marilyn Miller.  I had to come up with a title of my arrangement back in January. Knowing this flower show is more traditional with pink and red color arrangements, I wanted to make a cool color arrangement like green or blue.  I found this blue Italian made glass platter for $15 at HomeGoods store in San Carlos.  Then, I picked blue flowers at San Francisco Flower Mart with the help of my Ikebana teacher, Yoshiko Williams.
