Ikebana International Meeting in November
This was my side-table arrangement for the Ikebana International San Francisco Bay Area Chapter’s November meeting.

I borrowed this striking cube-tower vase by Arakawa Pottery from Katsuko Thielke Sensei. Donna (my Sogetsu classmate) gifted me this dramatic piece of wood covered in lichen and moss after pruning her trees. With two beautiful materials to begin with, my only challenge was finding flowers on a rainy day. After a bit of driving, I finally discovered this lovely chrysanthemum at Draeger’s and autumn-colored branches in my neighborhood.

Materials: Chrysanthemum, Firethorn, Chinese Pistache, other fall branches (unidentified)
