Peninsula Rose Society – 2018 Annual Rose Show
We were able to have a flower show for the first time in three years thanks to generous donation from Barry Johnson, a long-time Peninsula Rose Society member. The annual event has become a financial burden for the organization in recent years due to the increase in renting a space in the expensive Silicon Valley area (the real estate crisis goes beyond astronomical housing prices here). This year was a non-judged event, which gave members less stress and more freedom in entering roses and rose arrangements. My rose garden just missed its prime bloom time for the show. Thus, I made two small arrangements, using six roses (!) in total. More info about the flower show can be found here.
